Nick Carter's Baby Shower Features 'Game of Thrones'

Backstreet Boy Nick Carter is prepping for the arrival of his first baby and he has recently shared details of his wife's baby shower that featured themes from "Game of Thrones."

In an interview with People, Carter said he and his wife love the hit show, planning the party's activities and themes was all thanks to his wife, Lauren Kitt Carter. "She pretty much handles everything here, as far as these events. She's got the taste," Carter said.

The shower was held last Saturday, April 2, at the couple's home in Hidden Hills, California and all the details were kept from the public until Carter shared some photos on social media on Friday.

In Kitt Carter's opinion, it was best to keep everything from her husband to keep him from thinking too much about the event while on tour. "I kept him in the dark so that he could enjoy it and just relax...I really wanted him to enjoy this next thing, which is to become a dad, and make it about him too and shower him with love and surprises," she explained.

Stacey Ruiz Events helped plan the celebration and with a Renessaince-era theme for the food and pastries, plus white and green flowers to give the place a more rustic feel, the guests were welcomed to a modern "Game of Thrones" setting.

A dessert bar with macarons, cupcakes, cookies, and an elegantly-coated cake among others adorned the dining area. Friends and family were also allowed to get into a photo booth where the soon-to-be-parents enjoyed taking snaps of themselves wearing animal masks.

Celebrating their baby's coming in the presence of friends and relatives made the festivities much more special, the 36-year-old singer said. Despite his involvement in a bar brawl early this year, Carter is looking forward to better days and a new stage in his life as he enters fatherhood.

Baby Carter is due April 12 and the couple are planning to have a home birth.
