Nicki Minaj recently signed her biggest endorsement deal to date, in which she will be backing Pepsi's newest drink called Pop.

Minaj, a 29-year-old rap star, reportedly signed on with Pepsi for a multimillion contract to promote the new Pop beverage. Derek Jackson, chief of the Glu agency who was the liaison between Minaj and Pepsi, spoke to Forbes about the deal that he brokered with Minaj.

Jackson told the publication that Minaj shot a commercial in South America for the brand which will appear on television screens soon.

"You'll see the commercial probably in the next two months," Jackson said. "That'll be a segue into a new beverage Pepsi has, called 'Pop,' and she'll be the face of the brand … it's going to be explosive."

Although the deal is the biggest signed by Minaj to date, the rap star managed to appear at number 15 on Forbes' "Hip-Hop Cash Kings" list for her $6.5 million in listed earnings last year. She has also been affiliated with Mattel, who auctioned off a $15,000 Barbie version of Minaj and included OPI nail polish, MAC Viva Glam and Onch movement jewelry in her list of endorsements.

After a whirlwind year following her studio album debut, Minaj is gearing up for the release of her sophomore effort titled "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" that will be released on April 3. The rap star recently spoke to MTV News about what fans can expect from her new record.

"April 3 is going to be a doozy. It's going to be crazy," Minaj said. "It's going to be important for just hip-hop culture and pop culture. It's going to be very big."

The Trinidad-born rapper also recently announced that she will engage on a European tour which will begin on June 8 in Stockholm, Sweden.
