'No Man's Sky' Release Date News: Game Details Ahead of 2015 Launch

Hello Games has just announced their upcoming "No Man's Sky" is slated for release within the year.

One of the most anticipated games of 2015, Hello Games' "No Man's Sky" is scheduled to be released within the year as a timed exclusive for PS4, which will be available to Microsoft Windows much later.

Amid the surroundings of the procedurally generated universe, players are deposited via ship with the objective to move towards the center while exploring new planets.

Borrowing from celebrated theoretical physicist and cosmologist, Stephen Hawking's statement that the universe is continually expanding "No Man's Sky" imagines a universe where its center continually pushes all matter out towards its edges. The more players interact with the game, the more planets are created.

The game presents a rich, vibrant and diverse universe teeming with life, especially extraterrestrial life. It is also said to have a black hole located in the center of the game's universe. Players are tasked with the mission of reaching this black hole, while gathering supplies for their journey on the way.

Sean Murray, who spearheads the British video game development company, said most actions in the game earn the players Units, which they can use to upgrade their ship in order to travel further. The closer a player gets to the center of the galaxy, the more dangerous the game becomes.

He also spoke of Hello Games' goal to create a game world that will offer players a huge amount of exploratory potential. Players are granted a nearly unlimited ability to explore the galaxy, upgrade their spacecraft, tools and equipment, while fighting the hostile characters they come across in the middle of their explorations.

"No Man's Sky" has been described as an exploration game, and players learn to be resourceful by gathering resources in several different ways
