Nokia 9 Specs, Release Date: Flagship Shows Off Edge-to-Edge Screen and More in New Leaked Renders

Going bezel-less seems to be the latest trend in the mobile scene and the Nokia 9 will not be missing out on this.

A bunch of renders showing the device's design have found their way to the web. There, the flagship showed off its edge-to-edge screen. Bezels on either side are gone while the forehead and chin are much thinner compared with the ones on the Nokia 8.

This gives the Nokia 9 a much more modern and sleek look than its predecessor that will allow it to go toe to toe with other bezel-less flagships from Apple, Samsung, LG and others.

A purported active-matrix organic light-emiting diode (AMOLED) display, which is expected to be around 5.5 inches, will add to the good looks since this type of screen will offer vibrant graphics and colors and deep blacks.

A rear Carl Zeiss dual camera setup arranged vertically can also be spotted in the Nokia 9 leaked renders with the LED flash sitting to the right of the sensors. The fingerprint scanner is seen just below.

More on the imaging department, it is believed that the cameras on the back will both be at 13 MP, the same as the ones on the Nokia 8. The front snapper should be 13 MP as well.

Overall, the Nokia 9 looks picture perfect and in fact, could make the Nokia 8, which was just unveiled last month, look outdated already. But apart from the looks, the handset also has a lot to offer in the hardware and software department.

Just recently, the upcoming Nokia flagship was tested on GFXBench, where it was shown to possess a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 64 GB of storage.

It also looks like the Nokia 9 will have the Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box, showing HMD Global's commitment to deliver the latest software to its users as it makes the most of its partnership with Google.
