This AFC West rivalry is between two teams at the bottom half of the division as the Raiders are third with a 6-8 record, while the Chargers are far behind with a 4-10 pip so far this season.
There are only a handful of games left in the regular season so expect the teams to go all out despite them having a slim chance of reaching the playoffs due to their subpar records.
The Raiders have alternated wins and losses in their last five games with wins over the Tennessee Titans and the Denver Broncos. However, they have faltered against the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers that summarize their inconsistency this season.
Meanwhile, the Chargers ended their two-game losing streak with a win against the Miami Dolphins and are looking to use the momentum they gained by avenging their earlier loss to the Raiders in Week 7.
In that match, Oakland held the lead early as they had a 10-3 advantage at the end of the first quarter. Instead of relaxing, the Raiders put on the pressure in the next period as they scored 20 points while only allowing three from the Chargers to extend their lead at the half.
The third quarter was pretty much the same as the scoring slowed down but it only came from the side of the Raiders as they had a 37-6 advantage.
San Diego made a late run in the final quarter, scoring 23 points to close the gap while holding the Raiders scoreless, but they were eight points short as Oakland held on to win 37-29.
