Drudge Report News: Obama's Approval Ratings Slump Over ISIS Situation in Middle East

President Barack Obama's approval ratings have declined significantly because of the way terrorist group ISIS is being handled by his administration and the mixed messages he has sent out regarding future plans against them, according to a release from the Drudge Report.

A Gallup Daily poll which was used to show the decreasing approval rating of the Head of State. Obama's approval rating has already dropped to 38 percent, while at the same time his disapproval rating is now at 54 percent.

The Washington-based, global performance-management consulting firm said in their previous report published a week ago that "Obama's 'strong disapproval' is double that of his 'strong approval.'"

"Americans are more than twice as likely to say they "strongly disapprove" (39%) of President Barack Obama's job performance as they are to say they "strongly approve" (17%). The percentage of Americans who strongly disapprove of Obama has increased over time, while the percentage who strongly approve has dropped by almost half," the Gallup report continued.

Three in every four Republicans showed strong disapproval on Obama's job performance as well.

"Since 2009, a majority of Republicans have strongly disapproved of Obama's performance, ranging between 58% and 75%," the poll stated.

However, even the support from his own Democratic party has diminished significantly.

"Democrats are also less likely to approve of Obama now than during his honeymoon period in 2009 (78% vs. 88%, respectively). Additionally, whereas Democrats were nearly three times as likely to strongly approve as moderately approve of Obama in 2009, the ratio is now about 1-to-1," the report read.

Similar reports concerning Obama's performance were published in Time magazine. Kentucky Senator Rand Paul talked about the Commander-in-Chief's failings regarding ISIS and the situation in the Middle East.

"As Commander-in-Chief, I would not allow our enemies to kill our citizens or our ambassadors," Paul wrote. "'Peace through Strength' only works if you have and show strength."

The senator also pointed out the neglect of the current administration to the current crisis.

"Why, after six years, does President Obama lack a strategy to deal with threats like ISIS?" he continued. "This administration's dereliction of duty has both sins of action and inaction, which is what happens when you are flailing around wildly, without careful strategic thinking."
