The popular twins Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen created buzz on the Internet when they revealed their first ever public selfie.

It was reported that Sephora had posted the first ever public selfie of both Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. The photo gained more than sixty thousand likes in one day. It was said that the selfie was to promote the Olsen twins' brand, Elizabeth and James.

They stated in their final post, "First and last day as official Instagrammers #cheers #MyNirvana ✌️ @ElizAndJames #SephoraTakeover."

The twins have been working in partnership with Sephora ever since the launch of their Nirvana label. Reports stated that their perfumes were first sold in Sephora, which paved the way for the twins' path to the fashion industry.

During a previous interview with Vogue, the two of them were able to share some details about their vision for the brand, Elizabeth and James. Ashley explained that they wanted to give women a modern look with the brand. She said, "We design Elizabeth and James for the modern woman. We don't want to define her, tell her what to wear or how to wear it. We are offering options that allow her to express herself through fashion."

In addition, Mary Kate also elaborated on what the brand means to them. She said, "Elizabeth and James is about duality - finding the right balance of masculine and feminine, aspirational and attainable, sexy and casual."
