Jack Manigault had an extensive history with legal troubles, and served a prison sentence for aggravated assault. However according to Omarosa, he had “turned his life around.”

“My brother was so special to us,” she stated. “We love him unconditionally. And we were so proud of him when he turned his life around and gave his life to God two years ago.”

Appearing alongside business mogul Donald Trump twice on the reality series, Omarosa became “the woman America loved to hate.”

Jack Manigault, 40, was killed instantly after sustaining a shot to the head in Youngstown, Ohio Sunday night.

The Youngstown Vindicator released a statement citing the police reports from the incident.

“Manigault was home with his 34-year-old girlfriend when the woman’s former boyfriend, 22-year-old Marco Cardenas, forced his way into the house past two juveniles and entered a bedroom where Manigault and the woman were sleeping,” reported the paper.

Manigault’s girlfriend told police Cardenas hit her in the head before the two juveniles in the home forced him to leave, the Los Angeles Times reported.

“Several shots were fired,” and Manigault ran from the room and collapsed with a gunshot wound to the head,” concluded the Vindicator.

Cardenas was arrested Sunday and arraigned Tuesday on charges of murder of Jack Manigault. Cardenas, who is currently serving a two-year probation sentence for a felony breaking-and-entering charge, and has pled not guilty, and is being held on a $5 million bond.
