'Once Upon A Time' Season 4 Spoilers: Episode 4.3 'Rocky Road' Reveals the Snow Queen Villain

Hit supernatural, fantasy drama series "Once Upon a Time" aired its 2nd episode for Season 4 entitled "White Out" last Sunday, Oct. 5 on ABC. In that episode, Queen Elsa (guest star Georgina Haig) met Storybrooker Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) in a very unlikely circumstance.

Elsa literally froze the whole town and makes an ice wall in hopes to find her sister Anna (Elizabeth Lail). When Emma, together with Charming (Josh Dallas) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) went out to check the barrier, she startled the ice power-wielding character. Having lost control of her powers, Elsa accidentally trapped herself and Emma in an ice cave.

"Lost" alum Elizabeth Mitchell also made her first appearance in OUAT Season 4 as an ice cream shop lady in Storybrooke whose merchandise does not melt despite the blackout that the "Frozen" character had caused.

Nobody has known yet that they have housed a Snow Queen that will eventually wreak havoc to the townsfolk. Indeed, the latest sneak peek for OUAT S4:E3 (video provided below) revealed that Mitchell's Snow Queen will be "zero nice" suggesting a villainous character.

A short summary for "Rocky Road" was given by The Futon Critic via ABC press release.

"When an icy spell is cast on Marian, which will ultimately freeze her heart and kill her, the Storybrooke residents place the blame on Elsa. But unbeknownst to anyone, a mysterious woman who runs the town's ice cream parlor has the same powers as Elsa and is trying to frame her," the synopsis reads.

"Emma and David find former Merry Men member Will Scarlet rummaging through Robin Hood's tent, Regina teams up with Henry to try and discover who the author of the fairy tale book is, Mary Margaret is having trouble balancing her duties as leader of Storybrooke and mother to young Prince Neal, and Hook begins to suspect that Mr. Gold is still in control of the dagger that calls upon him to be the Dark One," it continued.

"Meanwhile, in Arendelle of the past, Elsa and Kristoff set off to stop Hans from attempting to take control of the kingdom," the summary concluded.

"Once Upon a Time" Season 4 airs every Sunday at 8:00 p.m. EST on ABC.
