One Punch Man Season 2 Updates: Lord Boros Returns with New Allies; More Episodes and Air Date

Will Saitama finally rise up to the ranks and become the ultimate hero of Z City?

The popular animated hit series will return with more episodes than the first season and with a new set of villains. Saitama will return with his awesome punch to stop evil that tries to invade Z City.

More Plots for Next Season

Season 1 concluded with 10 episodes and introduced the different hero classes as well as the different heroes that belonged to each class. The next season will have 12 episodes, and rumors say that writers are trying to include more plots and multiple story arcs to the series to make it more awesome than it was before.

Heroes Turned Villains

The first season ended with the heroes battling Lord Boros and succeeding, with Saitama giving him a taste of his powerful one punch. In season 2, the mighty villain returns with new company: Garou, a former disciple of Bangs, one of the most powerful heroes known to man, and Amai Mask, the highest-ranked Class-A hero.

Amai Mask hinted that he was against the hero program that allows heroes to do as they pleased in the wild and thought that they were low-class brutes. He reprises his role as a hero-turned-villain that will possible face Saitama at the end of the season.

Courageous Heroes to Return

No doubt that Saitama can take any villain with his amazing one punch, but the series won't be the same without all the other heroes backing him up. First is his very loyal sidekick and housemate Genos, the android hero who treats Saitama as his sensei and does everything he can to become as powerful as him. Mumen Rider, the very eager hero with simple human capabilities, also returns with his helmet and bike to help anyone in need in Z City.

The new season will still focus on hero training and missions from the Hero Association. Season 1 ended with Saitama already rising up to the ranks and managing to move up from C-Class to B-Class. Will he be able to move up to A-Class and possibly reach S-Class, the strongest class of all?

One Punch Man Air Date

Just like last season, One Punch Man season 2 airs in October. Meanwhile, One Punch Man the English dub version just aired on July 16 in Toonami. There are no updates for an English dubbed version of season 2 yet.
