'Orange is the New Black' Season 3 Cast News: Australian Model Joins Netflix Series

The Litchfield Federal Correctional Institution will have a new inmate when the hit jail bird drama from Netflix "Orange is the New Black" returns for its third season. The new season release date is believed to be sometime in June or July 2015.

The 28-year-old Ruby Rose, oozing with "raw sex appeal even in an orange jumpsuit" will play the newcomer named Stella Carlin, according to Elle magazine.

Rose's character will be the love interest of both Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon), their "lust object," to be exact.

Going to through her social media, Rose announced her involvement with the show by saying:

"Grab yourself a copy of U.S. ELLE MAGAZINE and read about my new role on a small unheard of series called 'Orange is the New Black'.. (insert sarcasm)," her Facebook post reads. "Haha."

Aside from her upcoming role in the comedy-drama show, Rose is also working as a VJ and a recording artist. As an actress, she has appeared with Christina Ricci in her 2013 film "Around the Block."

Buzzfeed wrote that Stella Carlin is a character with a "sarcastic sense of humor and captivating looks that will quickly draw the attention of some of Litchfield's inmates."

While Netflix has yet to set a premiere date, rumors have it that the third season can be expected sometime in June or July 2015, following the season one release back in July 2013 followed by season two in June 2014.
