Orange Is The New Black Season 3 Will See Piper and Alex Have a Major Showdown

While the release date for Netflix's "Orange is The New Black" hasn't been confirmed yet, fans of the show are still clamoring for more updates about the upcoming third season.

Filming for OITNB season 3 has already started, according to Christian Today. Renewal of the series was likely attributed to its surprisingly high ratings aside from its multiple Emmy nominations.

Meanwhile, there have been reports indicating that there will be a coercion between Laura Prepon's character Alex Vause with Taylor Schilling's Piper Chapman in the forthcoming season.

The rumors are based on season 2 when Vause left Litchfield after testifying against her former drug dealing boss. She may end up back in prison because of Piper's tip-off.

Schilling shed light on the speculation recently.

"[Alex's reaction to Piper's phone call] will be a big part of Season 3," she told TV Guide.

On the other hand, Natasha Lyonne, who plays Nicky Nichols, revealed a rather intriguing spoiler about what fans will see in the forthcoming season.

"In three words: So much bloodshed," she told People magazine.

The 35-year-old actress, who herself had a past of drug abuse, was deemed perfect to play the character of Nicky, who is also dealing with substance abuse.

"Believe me, there's no shortage of things for me to draw on when it comes to Nicky's backstory," the "American Pie" star explained.
