Pacquiao Vs Bradley 3: Freddie Roach Puts His Money On Ninth Round Knockout Win For Pacquiao

Renowned boxing coach Freddie Roach made his prediction for the upcoming rubber match between eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley.

Pacquiao and Bradley will be meeting each other for the third time on April 9 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It will also be Pacquiao's 66th and final fight, as he puts his focus solely on being a public servant in his home country of the Philippines. The Filipino boxing icon is currently running for Senator in the 2016 Philippine elections, which will take place in May.

Both fights that the two men had been previously involved in ended in the judges' scorecards. In their first bout in June 2012, Bradley was able to win via a split decision verdict that was highly controversial. Their second fight in April 2014 had Pacquiao winning by unanimous decision.

Roach recently spoke to Boxingscene about his thoughts on the fight. According to him, while he does believe that newly appointed veteran trainer Teddy Atlas could be of big help to Bradley, he is still not crediting him with "Desert Storm's" most recent victory against former world champion Brandon Rios.

Bradley defeated Rios in November via a ninth round technical knockout. It was also the first fight where Atlas and Bradley worked together as trainer and fighter.

Roach also added that Pacquiao is already "100 percent" from the shoulder injury the latter sustained at the time of the May 2nd mega bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Roach says his fighter had already been given the green light by doctors to resume training and has also confirmed that camp is set to begin in the Philippines on February 2.

The seven-time Boxing Writers Association of America Trainer of the Year also adds that Pacquiao is looking to end his 20-year boxing career on a high note.

"Manny wants to go out with a bang and knock Tim out, so I predict a knockout in nine," Roach said.
