Porsche Carrera GT Video Shows Fatal Crash and Paul Walker's Last Moments (WATCH)

Newly released footage shows the moment the Porsche GT that Paul Walker and Roger Rodas were riding in crashed and burst into flames.

CCTV footage that was obtained by OMG! Insider captured the moment the car struck a tree and caught fire as witnesses say the car was not racing.

"[Investigators] have received eyewitness statements that the car involved was travelling alone at a high rate of speed," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a written statement on Monday. "No eyewitness has contacted the [department] to say there was a second vehicle."

The footage of the deadly crash which claimed the lives of Walker, 40 and driver, Roger Rodas, 38, was released as images of the tragic occurrence shows a plume of black smoke billowing into the air moments after the crash.

An unidentified person who was at the charity event in Santa Clarita revealed that the pair was not out on a joy ride, rather the two took the car out to uncover a suspected mechanical problem.

"As they were backing up the Carrera to put into the garage, it started stalling. I heard someone say, and I think it was Roger, "Why is the car stalling? Let's take it around the block," the unidentified witness told The Hollywood Reporter.

"Paul said, 'Let me go with you really quickly' … The whole premise of taking the car out for a drive was because something was wrong," the witness added.

There has been an outpouring of support from fans all over the globe after news of the actor's passing was posted to his social media accounts.

"It's with a heavy heart that we must confirm Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident," read a tweet posted through his verified Twitter account at 9:14 p.m. Saturday.

It also directed the star's nearly 900,000 Twitter followers to a fuller comment on his Facebook account issued to nearly six million fans.

"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide," noted the post.
