'Percy Jackson 3' Update: Should Fans Continue Hoping For A Sequel?
Although Logan Lerman confirmed long time ago that another "Percy Jackson" movie is unlikely, it seems that some fans of the movie are not giving up just yet. Proof to this is the growing number of fan-made movie trailers uploaded on YouTube and other social media networking sites that wove together various clips from the previous "Percy Jackson" and other movies.
While it is true that there are some fans who have been angered by the bogus trailers after having been tricked into viewing what they thought were official trailers, it can't be denied that there are still some who share the sentiments of the people behind the upload of the fan-made movie trailers, hoping that the trailers will lead to a change of heart of the producers and they'll give "Percy Jackson: The Titan's Curse" a chance.
It is but understandable for the fans to look forward to another sequel after the box-office success of "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters." After almost three years since the second "Percy Jackson" movie was shown, no news about the next movie adaptation of the book has ever been announced.

However, Lerman himself confirmed a long time ago that there will be no sequel to look forward to. In his interview with MTV three years ago, he confirmed that "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" would already be the last movie adaptation of the Rick Riordan book series.
"It's been a great experience for me…it's opened up a lot of doors for me, but I don't think it's happening," he said.
Meanwhile, fans of the "Percy Jackson" movies may have a good reason not to throw in the towel yet in their push for another sequel. Release Date opined that it is still possible for "Percy Jackson" movies to have another sequel as it has all the elements considered for a sequel, such as previous box office records, a storyline which has not been fully explored, and demand.
The first "Percy Jackson" movie, "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" made $226,497,209 worldwide, while its sequel, "Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters" raked in $199,850,315.
