'Persona 5' PS4 News & Release Date: Short Ad Reveals Genius Hacker Futaba Sakura; Nearly Perfect Review from Famitsu [DETAILS]

Futaba Sakura Makes Appearance at New Persona 5 Short

Japanese gaming company Atlus released a short ad that revealed genius hacker Futaba Sakura for "Persona 5."

The short television commercial starts with the protagonist practicing his moves on a mu ren zhuang (also known as a Wing Chun training dummy) in a gym. The black cat, Morgana, was also shown in the ad, pointing out how the protagonist's movements, body and spirit are improved with increased HP and SP.

'Persona 5' New Character: Enter Futaba Sakura
Futaba Sakura is the newest character revealed by Atlus for "Persona 5." She is described as an awkward high schooler with high affinity for programming and hacking. She is Phantom Thieves of Hearts' dungeon navigator and hacker. According to Siliconera, the genius hacker suddenly stopped going to school and became a hikkikomori, a Japanese term for a shut-in after an unknown incident.

Apart from Futaba Sakura, the known characters of Persona 5 are Morgana, Anne Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Nijima and Haru Okumura.


'Persona 5' Release Date, 'Take Your Heart' Premium Edition Details
"Persona 5" will be first released in Japan on September 15 for PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 3. The US will have their own release on February 14, 2017 with English audio only. Anime News Network reports that the US will have a "Take Your Heart" Premium Edition.

The "Persona 5: Take Your Heart" Premium Edition will have a Morgana plush, school bag, soundtrack CD, hardcover art book and a steelbook in addition to the game. There will also be a SteelBook Edition of the game as well. In anticipation of "Persona 5", the special "Persona 5 The Animation - The Day Breakers" was aired last Saturday to mark the prologue of the game.

'Persona 5' Nearly Perfect Review and Scoring from Famitsu
Famitsu has released the review scores of various games and as noted by Gematsu, "Persona 5" received a 39/40 rating on the PS3. The first three reviewers gave the game a 10, while the last one gave a 9. With regards to the scoring, the games are noted based on the completion length and content. Gaming Bolt notes that with the Famitsu score, "Persona 5" is considered the highest-rated game in the Persona franchise. It is the highest-rated game from Atlus as well.
