Phaedra Parks Leaving 'Real Housewives of Atlanta,' Apollo Nida Still Filming?

Phaedra Parks may have decided not to be involved with the popular "Real Housewives of Atlanta" show that helped her rise to popularity.

Parks, the 42-year-old "RealHousewives of Atlanta" attorney, was absent from her husband Apollo Nida's prison sentencing earlier this month while admitting to marital issues on and off the show. Now that Nida has received an eight-year prison sentence for allegedly creating fake businesses, false bank accounts and using stolen checks while defrauding automotive lenders, Rumor Fix is reporting that she will not be on the Bravo network's reality television show for an upcoming seventh season.

While reports say Parks will take a "leave of absence," she is reportedly interested in returning for an eighth season, Rumor Fix reports.

"Sources reveal that the star does not want all her personal problems [Apollo Nida] broadcast to the world, and has decided to leave so she can 'focus more on her family following Apollo's imprisonment,'" Rumor Fix stated.

However, some sources have told E! that Nida is still filming the show, despite the fact that his wife will not.

"He's been filming a lot. He's been out and about and trying to be seen as much as possible before he goes to jail," the source reportedly told E!. "Right now, he's not exactly sure when that will be so he's living it up while he can."

While on Bravo late night talk show, "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen questioned Parks' fellow cast member NeNe Leakes about her conversation with Parks.

"That's kind of uncomfortable. I don't know how to like … 'Hey, Phaedra, so, Apollo got … how many years, girl,'" Leakes told Cohen. "Like, that's so not a conversation. So we didn't talk about that. I feel bad for her."

Parks' singer and producer friend Kandi Burruss, who also stars on the Bravo television series, insists the lawyer is doing fine.

"Phaedra's doing great. She's basically working," Burruss told HollywoodLife.com previously. "That's how I deal with things too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work," Burrus added, "I know that she's promoting her book and doing the book tour and stuff like that and she's not really trying to focus as much on what's happening."

However, a source reportedly told the publication that Parks is not happy with her husband's situation.

"(She) wants nothing but the best of the best for herself and children, and the fact her husband is about to go away for a long time, leaves a bad taste in her mouth," a source reportedly told Hollywood Life. "She's embarrassed but knowing her, she'll be all right."
