Philadelphia Eagles vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers takes place on Sunday in the NFL with the Eagles already preparing for next season and the Buccaneers looking to continue their push for the playoffs with a win. The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
The Eagles have been awful this season, coming into this game with a record of 3-9, their season is already over, meaning they are already looking towards how to stop the rot continuing into 2013.
Rookie quarterback Nick Foles has now been installed as the starter for the Eagles, so fans will not be seeing any return of Michael Vick today. Foles has so far completed 81 throws from 133 attempts for 793 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles are hoping to install him as part of the nucleus for the future of the team, so it will be interesting to see how he does as this season winds down to an end.
Despite there being not much to play for, for the Eagles, Coach Andy Reid will be desperate to avoid a ninth straight loss, and would bite your hand off for a win today.
Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are hoping to find a second wind in their attempt to make the playoffs. A few months back most pundits had them down as dead certs for the postseason, but they have gone through a bad patch recently and that has put them on the fringes for the playoff spots. They will be desperate to claim a win today and considering the Eagles come into this game on the back of eight straight losses, Tampa Bay fans will expect nothing less than a win.
The Buccaneers are 6-6 and still in second place in the NFC South led by the flying 11-1 Atlanta Falcons. New Orleans are on 5-7 and hoping to push past the Buccaneers, and it will be interesting to see whether Tampa Bay can now push on and secure their playoff position.
