Pittsburgh Penguins vs Ottawa Senators takes place in Game 4 of their Stanley Cup Playoffs Conference semifinals on Wednesday night, with the Senators looking to build on their Game 3 win and draw things all square again tonight. The game is scheduled to start at 7.30 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
Game 3 ended dramatically, with the Senators less than 30 seconds away from going 3-0 down in the series. However, Daniel Alfredsson was the hero for Ottawa, with the captain redirecting a shot past Tomas Vokoun to take the game into overtime.
In the first overtime still nothing could separate the teams, but finally in the second overtime the Senators finally won the game, meaning they come into tonight's game at Scotiabank Place with the chance to pull themselves back to 2-2 in the best of seven series.
This is a huge game for the Senators, as it will make a massive difference traveling to Pittsburgh for Game 5 being at 2-2 instead of being 3-1 down and facing elimination on the road.
However, despite the Senators Game 3 win, the Penguins do not need to panic yet and they are still in the driving seat. They know that they were just seconds from having one foot in the conference final, and they should not have lost too much confidence from falling just short in the last game.
They will want to put Game 3 behind then and go back to basics and ensure they continue doing what they've done so well over the first two games, and for almost the entire time of Game 3.
However, the Senators will now have more self-belief and the last win would have given them a massive lift. They will know that they are 3-0 at home this postseason and if they can maintain that perfect record tonight then they will throw this semifinal series wide open again.
