'Pokemon' News: Newest 'Pokemon' Magiana Revealed, Movie Coming Out With Volcanion

The newest "Pokemon" or pocket monster, Magiana, has been revealed through the latest issue of the Japanese magazine CoroCoro, says an update on Serebii. Magiana is also set to appear in the next Pokemon movie titled "Volcanion and the Ingenious Magiana."

According to the website, which is dedicated to Pokemon and full of news and information about them, Magiana is considered to be a man-made Pokemon who is said to be similar to that of Mewtwo and is also stated to have a "metallic body." This particular Pokemon is also said to have been created 500 years ago and is being pursued by another Pokemon named Volcanion.

Volcanion is also a new Pokemon who was revealed in December and is said to be the first ever Pokemon that is of two types – Fire and Water.

An IGN report also revealed initial details about the upcoming Pokemon movie which will feature the two newest Pokemon, Magiana and Volcanion. According to the report, the movie will follow the story of Ash and his friends while on their journey, during which they encounter Volcanion who "drops down from the sky in front of them." Volcanion is in pursuit of Magiana, who was captured by "a city of super-machinery" that is called by the name "Azoth Kingdom." Ash and his friends need to help Volcanion in his mission to save Magiana, because it is said that Ash and Volcanion are linked together "by a strange chain."

Volcanion is also said to hold Magiana's secret, but the report fails to mention what this secret is.

As to whether Magiana will also be brought to the Pokemon games, it is not yet known. Pokemon has not officially commented on the news about the movie. The company is celebrating two decades of the franchise this year, which started with the release of the first games for the Game Boy in 1996. Various events, special releases and other surprises are being lined up for this year's celebration.
