'Pokemon Sun and Moon': 7 New Pokémon Revealed; How Good Will They Be in Game and Competitively?
How Will the New Pokémon Stack Up against the Older Ones?
New information about the next game in the long-running Pokémon franchise, "Pokémon Sun and Moon," has recently been released, and seven new pokemon have been revealed officially. While most are electric types, there are a few others as well, including fairy, steel and dragon types.
Togederamu
Togedreramu, for lack of a better description, looks like a fat Pikachu hybrid. It even shares the electric type with the famous Pokémon. Fortunately for Togederamu, it also carries the steel type to distinguish itself from the yellow-furred rodent.

Electric/steel-type combination is quite rare, and it looks like Togederamu is the first in its evolutionary line. It could see some play story-wise.
Drampa
Drampa looks like a dragon from the Chinese mythos. It has a long snake-like body with features that look like clouds. Its official typing is normal/dragon and is said to know dragon breath.
Dragon types are always useful when going through the game. However, players will have to see Drampa's base states as well as move set to determine its usefulness competitively.
Charjabug
One of the weirdest-looking Pokémon to date, Charjabug looks like a bug crossed with a small school bus.It carries the bug/electric typing and is said to be the evolution of Grubbin.
Vikavolt
Another electric/bug type, this pokemon is said to be the last line of evolution after Charjabug. Vikavolt looks sleeker than its previous evolution.
Talking in game, bug types are rarely very useful, and considering that players will have access to Togederamu most likely early in the game, the electric typing might work in the Vikavolt evolution line's favor as well.
Tapu Koko
Tapu Koko was hinted at during the E3 Treehouse Live event and is the guardian of Meremere Island. It carries the electric/fairy type. It looks similar to Doublade, but instead of swords, Tapu Koko uses shields as its weapon of choice.
Fairy type has been useful for several games now, and having the option of electric attacks also help out. Tapu Koko might be a big Pokémon for players to capture.
Bruxish
Bruxish is a water/psychic-type Pokémon and looks like a tie-dyed fish. It carries the ability of dazzling; however, considering the large amount of water/psychic types already, it is unknown how useful this pokemon will be competitively.
Cutiefly
Cutiefly looks like small moth-like creature, it carries the bug/fairy typing. Again, it looks like this pokemon is the first in a line of evolutions. Fairy typing is always a plus, and bug type could help against psychic types.
