Pokemon X and Y Prequel/Sequel Trailer Shows Off New Mega Evolutions

A new trailer for the Pokemon X and Y prequel/sequels Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby show off mega evolutions for certain pocket monsters.

The clip also shows off the new remakes of old classics that feature the same graphics as the Pokemon X and Y games. Both of these titles will launch in November of 2014.

The Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire versions for the 3DS were first announced for a November launch a few months ago.

"Announcing Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokemon!" wrote the company.

Nintendo went on to explain the origins of the Ruby and Sapphire versions.

"Pokemon fans first enjoyed Pokemon Ruby Version and Pokemon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance. Now a whole new generation of Pokemon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire," the statement read.

A remake of the Emerald version called Pokemon Delta Emerald is also rumored to be in the works and could be released shortly after these two.

Another Pokemon game titled Art Academy will be available for digital download in Japan on Nintendo 3DS starting June 19.

A trailer for the game launched earlier this week and it basically shows a game that allows players to create high-quality fan art. It starts out with tracing exercises and moves up to more advanced drawing and painting.

There should be more information released on Art Academy in the coming months and U.S. release should follow shortly after the initial Japan launch. E3 might be the place where that information is revealed.
