'Poldark' Season 2 Episode 5 Preview and Episode 6 Sneak Peek: George Warleggan Has a New Ploy to Bring Down Ross Poldark

The scale of how sweet the taste of victory is for every protagonist in any story is tantamount to that of how bitter the agony wreaked by the antagonist. And, it seems like Ross Poldark (Aidan Turner) is bound to get one heck of a jubilation at the end, but not without going through the struggles inflicted primarily by his arch-rival George Warleggan (Jack Farthing).

The upcoming episode 5 of the 2^{nd season of BBC One's historical drama "Poldark" will still center around the conflict between the two, with a brewing love triangle on the side. You can check out the trailer for the next episode here.}

BBC released the official synopsis for episode 5, which will broadcast this Oct. 2. It seems like one informant from the smuggling circle could put everyone in jeopardy. George, meanwhile, has found another way to torment Ross and he has upped the ante this time around.

The show's villain shelled out money in order to buy Ross' debt. Things could get really exciting from here with Mr. Poldark now at the mercy of his nemesis, not to mention the struggle he is facing with his feelings between two women.

The preview also stated that Caroline (Gabriella Wilde) is set for a return to Cornwall to make some big announcement. But as it turns out, the one thing that could really surprise everyone will come from Elizabeth (Heida Reed) and her unexpected revelation.

Episode 4 Recap and Sneak Preview of Episode 6

Back in the previous episode, Ross, in his desire to open his own mine, was able to strike a deal with one of the smugglers in the area. Dwight Enys (Luke Norris), on the other hand, got some support from an unknown benefactor in his quest to solve the epidemic problem.

Ross and Demelza (Eleanor Tomlinson) also welcomed the arrival of their baby and celebrated the christening of their newborn.

A sneak peek at episode 6 reveals another intriguing storyline where viewers would find Ross trying to help out his former flame, Elizabeth, by providing financial support (this happens after the passing of Francis). But, things can't get any harder for the protagonist as his number one detractor is out to put Ross in a shakier situation.

George is about to call in his debt to add to the already mounting pressure. And as Dwight and Caroline go on with their secret rendezvous, Demelza tries her best to protect the interest of everyone at Nampara.
