Possible release date for 'Half-Life 3' might be in two to three years

"Half-Life" is considered as one of the best video games in the gaming industry, and avid gamers are already excited for the game franchise's next installment.

Valve, the developer of the Half-Life series, has been mum about the possible release date of the next edition of the game, and at one point, even denied that it ist working on the game. In a Game Slide podcast, Valve CEO Gabe Newell said that they are not working on the game. "The only reason we'd go back and do a super classic kind of product is if a whole bunch of people just internally at Valve said they wanted to do it and had a reasonable explanation for why," Newell said. "But you know if you want to do another Half-Life game and you want to ignore everything we've learned in shipping Portal 2 and in shipping all the updates on the multiplayer side, that seems like a bad choice," he explained.

However, tons of rumors are always speculating since gamers have been anxious for the game's release for some time now. Just recently, an "alleged" Valve employee is claiming that the company is still actively developing the game, even if they are still quiet about any Half-Life news. According to Master Herald, the "alleged" employee claims the game is expected to be released between 2017 and 2018.

However, the post said that Valve is still focused on its other game, "Left 4 Dead 3," which is why Half-Life will be coming out too late. The source said that the company is very aware of the hype and the huge interest from the fans to the game.

Half-Life 3 is something that the gamers are looking forward to, and fans just hope it will be released one day, since Valve is currently focusing on some of its other titles like "Portal" and "Team Fortress." Gamers are still committed to the Half-Life 3 franchise, even if it will take two or up to five years more.
