'Powerless' Season 1 Episode 4 Spoilers: Charm City Deals with Gotham's Problems in 'Emily Dates a Henchman'

Emily's (Vanessa Hudgens) life goals are about to extend to dating in the next episode of "Powerless." She may have prided herself to be a good motivator, a self-sacrificing boss, and an almost-friend to her team, but can she really handle a little romantic flair?

In the next episode of NBC's DC-inspired sitcom, the newest director of research and development at Wayne Security will be urged into the dating world by her team for a rather questionable reason. Could this be another one of their attempts to get their overly meddling boss off their backs? Or could this simply be empowering advice from one friend to another, especially when the other friend has a tendency to spend hours going up and down the elevator just to meet other people?

Whatever the reason behind this is, things are bound to go sideways when Emily ends up falling for the villainous Riddler's equally villainous henchman.

Meanwhile, Teddy (Danny Pudi), Ron (Ron Funches) and Wayne Security's big boss, Van (Alan Tudyk), will be setting out in search of Batman after they find one of his Batarangs somewhere in their vicinity. While they're at it, Van will be indulging a superhero fantasy by dressing up as the Caped Crusader's sidekick, Robin, as shown in an exclusive first look image shared by Entertainment Weekly.

The show's executive producer, Justin Halpem, explained during the Television Critics Association's press tour last month that Van dressing up as Robin would probably be the closest the show would ever get to depicting Batman's sidekick.

Will Van's superhero fantasy be put to good use when Emily's date puts her and Jackie's (Christina Kirk) lives in danger? And will the trio of Dark Knight hunters be able to give Batman back his Batarang?

"Powerless" season 1 episode 4 airs on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 8:30 p.m. EST on NBC.
