Press Play's '#LITO' to Debut Oct. 1 With a Contest

Press Play, a Dove award-nominated band, has picked Oct. 1 as the release date of their new album, #LITO.

In promotion of the new album, the band also announced the "#LITO - Love in the Open" contest.

"With all the perils in this world we believe that God's Love is not only eternal but can change lives. We wanted to do this contest because with all the news that's out there rarely are there a lot of positive messages of people doing random acts of kindness, love and encouragement out there so we'd like to do our part to change that through this contest," said Dave Hanley of Press Play in a release.

Via contest rules, fans participate by uploading videos and pictures showing what love means to them and what they personally love. Press Play will then go through the submissions and pick the ones they like best to use in a lyric video for a new song as well as in album artwork.

"Being a Christian is not just about knowing love but about being love. Love himself has led by example and all I pray is that this music can reach beyond just good music and become love in the open," said Jonathan Thulin of Press Play.

Additionally, all participants will be placed in a drawing to win an iPod Mini pre-loaded with the band's new album before its official release.

Press Play's first two albums were called World Anthem and NY2LA and were big successes. They are on Dream Records, a record label formed in 2008.

According to Jesus Freak Hideout, Press Play will also be announcing a tour soon.

"My favorite part of what we do, is building relationships with fans after the shows. Hearing stories, and getting to know them personally. Seeing how God has impacted there life. Whether it's for the first time that night or there journey has been ongoing. Loving on people is our goal ... If we can spark love, we will change lives," said Nicole Croteau of the band.
