"The fallout of what they go through definitely leaves them scarred and in need of healing and rebonding with the families and their bed buddies and their loved ones," King said. "[Season 6] really about answers and closure for all of them. It is an ending to the story that we started so long ago, but it's a very fast-paced ending to the story."

Series writer Maya Goldsmith revealing further about the forthcoming season.

"We will spend some more time in the dollhouse [next season]," she told Bustle. "The time period is very compressed, over a period of weeks, so the urgency is very heightened."

She went on to say that "PLL" followers should still hold on to their theories on who Charles really is.

"You can never rule anyone out [as an A suspect] because A always has ways of monitoring one situation and being somewhere else, so no, you can never rule anyone out," Goldsmith explained.

"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6 is slated to begin airing in mid-2015.
