Prince George Photos Emerge After Landing in New Zealand (PHOTO)

New photos of Prince George have emerged since the 8-month-old and his parents landed in New Zealand. He, along with parents Prince William and Duchess Kate, will be in the country and Australia for the next three weeks as part of a royal tour. The public was thrilled to get to see the heir apparent for the first time since his christening.

According to reports, George had no problems on the two flights to get from the United Kingdom to New Zealand. The family will spend their first day in the country together, privately, resting and recovering from the long flights. It's one of the few days that they have scheduled for private family time in order to rest and ensure George's well-being.

"The tour has been designed with Prince George's consideration and comfort in mind," the couple's private secretary, Miguel Head, told the press. "Taking a 9-month-old on a royal tour is not a first, but it has not happened in this royal family's context for many, many years so there has been much to think about, as any new parent traveling long distance will recognize."

The royal family made headlines when they disembarked in Australia for their final trip to New Zealand. Fans were reminded of Prince William's first trip abroad as he carried a kangaroo stuffed animal for George; the Daily Mail reports that the toy has already sold out of stores, which is a good thing since proceeds benefit the Australian Koala Foundation. Princess Diana, William's late mother, once told the Australian press that William's favorite toy was a stuffed koala.

After the family landed in New Zealand, they were greeted by a local dignitary and members of the Maori tribe, who performed a traditional war cry dance. William and Kate then pressed their foreheads and noses to the leader of the Maori tribe, which is their traditional greeting, called a Hongi.
