Prince George Spanish Supernanny Revealed: Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo Knows Martial Arts, Stunt Driving

Prince William and Kate Middleton recently employed Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo as Prince George Alexander Louis' full time new nanny, reports confirm.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will kick off their Antipodean tour on April 7 and Borrallo, whose name was made public on Thursday, is expected to join them. Borrallo, who is said to be in her 30s and from Spain, began caring for baby George in recent weeks.

"Maria is a full-time nanny, who started work with us recently, and will be accompanying the Duke and Duchess and Prince George to New Zealand and Australia," a Kensington Palace Spokesperson told Daily Mail U.K.

"We will not be giving further details on Maria or her employment, except to say that the Duke and Duchess are of course delighted she has chosen to join them," he added.

Borrallo was trained at London's prestigious Norland College which specializes in childcare and nanny training and has been described as a "Spanish supernanny". She was seen pushing baby George's stroller in Kensington Gardens earlier this month which sparked the "new nanny" reports.

Middleton, 32, and William will have 48 engagements during their forthcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand.

"When they're out and about she will be looking after Prince George as she's been doing for the last couple of weeks," the palace spokesperson confirmed.

The trip will mirror the late Princess Diana and Prince Charles' 1983 trip to Australia which marked a then nine-months-old William's first trip abroad. Prior to the trip, the Queen first had to give permission for William, now 31, to travel on the same plane as his father as royal protocol dictates an heir and the next in line must not fly together.

Borrallo's skills include martial arts and stunt driving, which is beneficial in evading the paparazzi. She is believed to have spent years working with high-society families which makes her ideal in working for the royal family.

Her employment follows the retirement of William's former childhood nanny, Jessie Webb, who spent several months helping the royal couple care for baby George shortly after his July 22, 2013 birth. Middleton's mother Carole has also assisted in looking after the royal heir.

"She has worked with other prominent high-society families in the past. It was from there that the Cambridges heard of her and hired her," a source told Hello magazine UK.

"She is not married and doesn't have a boyfriend as her life is totally dedicated to the family she is working with," the source continued adding "She is known for being totally professional ... married to the job."
