Prince Harry made his first appearance since nude photographs of himself in Las Vegas were leaked to the press last month.

The 27-year-old royal visited the WellChild Awards in London on Monday and was not shy about poking fun at himself during the event.

Harry had made headlines around the world after being photographed during what was believed to have been a game of strip billiards. He has been reportedly concerned over appearing in public after the media onslaught, but appeared back to normal during the awards ceremony.

Perhaps in an attempt to leave the Las Vegas incident behind, the third-in-line to the British throne made a speech ahead of giving out awards for the WellChild charity for seriously ill children. He even jokingly alluded to the scandal as he paid tribute to the winners.

"All of you, children, families, nurses, doctors, carers, volunteers are quite frankly too remarkable for me to adequately describe with mere words," said Harry, according to Reuters.

"But never one to be shy in coming forward, I'll give it a go," he added while smirking as the audience burst into laughter and gave him a big round of applause.

Moreover, one of the children attending the awards ceremony, 6-year-old Alex Logan, divulged his plans to lambast the prince for his behavior in Vegas, according to ITV News. But, when meeting Queen Elizabeth II's grandson, Logan did not mention Harry's clothes.

"Harry said to Alex, 'You keep looking at your mum, looks like you're dying to say something but you know she will tell you off,'" Logan's mother Debbie told Reuters.

"I heard you were on ITV earlier, you said something cheeky, let's not talk about that here," Harry jokingly warned the child.

While the infamous photos of Prince Harry went viral on the internet, many news outlets in the U.K. did not publish them. Moreover, royal officials have said that the images were a breach of the prince's privacy.
