Prince William Confirms No New Babies on the Way: 'One's Enough at the Moment,' Royal Dad Says

Prince William confirmed that there are no new royal children on the way and gave Irish guards an update on Prince George. The news comes ahead of William, Kate, and George traveling to New Zealand and Australia and after a week-long private vacation.

"Maybe one day," William told Regimental Sergeant Major Ray Collister when asked if there were any future guards on the way. "One's enough at the moment."

Kate and William visited the Irish Guards in honor of St. Patrick's Day and handed out shamrocks. The couple also indulged in some wine and Guinness before continuing to chat with the guardsmen and answer questions about his son.

"I asked them all about George," Glenn Tierney told People. "I'm nosey like that. They said he's doing really well and he's very busy crawling and eating. They said they're very busy sorting everything out for taking him to Australia. They're very excited."

Another member of the guard asked William if he would bring George to the next St. Patrick's Day gathering.

"He said, 'Yes, that's a good idea. I'll try and get him fitted for the uniform,'" William replied, according to Ray Kidd.

It was just one year ago that Duchess Catherine was pregnant with the little prince and making headlines with her pregnancy and fashion. It was only natural, then, that people would be curious about whether there were future prince or princesses on the way. The couple, however, was incredibly relaxed and enjoyed their visit with the guardsmen after a private vacation.

The ceremony is very traditional even though it is also a lot of fun for the royals. It's a tradition that began with Queen Alexandra in 1901 and has been continued ever since. Kate and William tried to keep things pleasant with the guards, joking and smiling. Duchess Catherine even presented the regiment's mascot, an Irish Wolfhound Domhnall, with his own sprig of shamrock.
