Prince William Flirting With Kate Moss While Duchess Kate is at Home?

Prince William played host to several elite persons while wife Kate was home with their son, Prince George. It was a celebration of the work of the Royal Marsden Hospital that brought Kate Moss, who appeared to flirt with the married William, upon learning that Kate was at home.

"Where's your wife?" Moss asked William upon meeting him in the receiving line. "She's not here?"

When William answered in the negative, Moss smiled and responded, "Such a shame."

Moss was one of several hundred at Windsor Castle for the gala. She, along with actresses Cate Blanchett, Emma Watson, and Helena Bonham Carter, all attended and came out to support the Hospital, which is one of Williams' charities. Designer Ralph Lauren and wife Ricky also attended the event and had personal time with William.

"I'm sorry my wife's not here," the Prince told Lauren. "You probably would far rather you saw my wife. It's a wonderful thing you're backing. It will be another great addition to the hospital," William added, noting Lauren's contribution of a new breast cancer wing to the hospital. "I am enormously grateful to Ralph Lauren for his generosity, and to all of you who so kindly support the hospital," he later said in a speech. "You should know that what you do saves lives and gives hope to thousands of people."

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch told Daily Mail that he felt "guilty" for spending so much of his time talking with Prince William.

"He is just a stand-up guy," Cumberbatch said. "I completely forgot to ask him how he got over his jet lag from his trip to Australia because I was there at the same time and I saw all the commotion when he went to Sydney Opera House. Hopefully tonight will raise awareness of the world of the Royal Marsden – that's what we're here for. Cancer isn't a disease that needs much awareness but it does need continued funding for research."

Also in attendance was actress Lily James, one of the stars of "Downton Abbey," a favorite series of Prince William and Kate.

"We're halfway through shooting the next series of 'Downton Abbey,' but the Duke didn't ask for any plot details," James said. "He is probably waiting until it comes out in September."
