'Quantum Break' PC patch adds quit button, fixes frame rate and other issues

Developer Remedy Entertainment has rolled out a new patch for the PC version of "Quantum Break" on Saturday, April 28. The Windows 10 update adds the previously-missing quit button, fixes the game's frame rate, and addresses a bunch of other issues.

The "Quantum Break" PC patch follows a recent Xbox One update. The PC update was very large at 27 GB, according to Kotaku, although other gamers report a smaller figure.

One of the highlights of the new patch is the addition of the exit or quit button. Before the update, players needed to right-click on the game in the taskbar or resort to using the task manager in order to close the game.

In terms of the game's graphics, Remedy Entertainment fixed the frame rate timing so that it now matches with the refresh rate. The update also added upscaling and film grain options. Grainy TV screens have also been fixed.

Aside from these, the developer fixed the rare bug issue that was also a problem with the game's Xbox One version. This rare bug accidentally wipes progress after players have completed the game. Thanks to the update, this particular bug has been fixed. The same goes for the rare instances of failed cloud saves that resulted in loss of progress.

Players who experienced issues with "Quantum Break's" acts should also see some adjustments. In particular, they should find that pathing, collision, and audio issues have been fixed.

"Microsoft Studios and Remedy Entertainment are aware of additional issues impacting players' experience with Quantum Break on Windows 10 and are continuing to work to address them," the developer said in a press release.
