'Ready for Love' Spoilers: Meet Bachelor Tim (VIDEO)

"Ready for Love" premiered last night, and America got to meet the first of three bachelors. All three claim to be looking for "the one" to spend the rest of their lives with. The series, produced by Eva Longoria, had a huge response from women wanting to meet the bachelors.

Three matchmakers, all with different styles, were hired to consult four girls for each man, so in a way, it's a team competition. On the season premiere, the men and women finally met and were introduced by Bill and Giuliana Rancic. Each week, the men will go on dates to be evaluated by the matchmakers, and one woman will be eliminated.

It's a new approach to reality TV, compared to shows like "The Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" empires, which have horrible track records for successful pairings. Can this show turn that around and actually result in three matches? That's the hope of "Ready for Love." Each week, viewers will get to see one man's story, and last night, they met Tim, a singer for the Plain White Tees. He was married to his high school sweetheart but his job took him away from home, and his wife eventually said she wanted out of their marriage.

Tim told the show he could "count the number of women I've been with on one hand." He had a different set of beliefs that prevented him from being with a lot of women in an intimate way.

"At the end of your life, you're not going to have your career by your side … you hope you have someone with you," he explained.

Instead of meeting the girls in a party-type setting, which is typical of "The Bachelor," Tim was kept behind a screen so that he could not see the girls. It was done in order to allow him to speak with the girls and get to know them in that way, rather than based simply on looks.

When he met the first group of four girls chosen by matchmaker Amber, it was clear that Tim was overwhelmed. But in the end, he selected Sarah, Hailey, and Siham. Leah, Danielle, and Taonaya, chosen by matchmaker Matt, survived the second round, while Sarah, Christine, and Jenna from Tracy's team, rounded out the nine girls competing for Tim's heart.

The group of 10 went on their first date, which was later evaluated in front of a live audience by the matchmakers. They selected three women, Sarah, Leah, and Hailey to be in the "bottom," and Tim was forced to eliminate one of those women.

In the end, he chose to send Leah back home. "Ready for Love" airs Tuesday nights on NBC. There are still two more bachelors to meet: Ben, the CEO of a hospital, and Ernesto, an international entrepreneur.
