"Real Housewives of Atlanta" reality star Phaedra Parks is now in the works to finally cut the legal ties she shared with husband Apollo Nida, according to reports.

The 41-year-old starlet's representative Steve Honig confirmed the recent rumors.

"Phaedra has retained an attorney with the intent of amicably ending her marriage," Honig told the New York Daily News.

Estranged husband Apollo Nida is currently serving his eight-year prison sentence on account of bank fraud. The sentence was issued in July following his guilty plea in May.

This is the second long-term prison stay for the 35-year-old Nida, who was previously incarcerated for six years following car theft charges.

Both Nida and Parks bore two children during their marriage, sons Dylan and Ayden.

Nida, in an interview with Atlanta's B100 radio station, revealed that he had seen the divorce coming. He mentioned his wife's absence during his trials and even whined about Parks not showing up for the final sentencing.

"I mean, my wife didn't even f------ show up for my sentencing," he was quoted as saying. "I'm still salty about that."

In other news, Kenya Moore shared some updates about her pledge to the Detroit Public School Foundation.

According to Reality Tea, the 43-year-old Detroit-born and former Miss USA will be appearing on the upcoming Oct. 17 showing of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" with her donating the amount to the said institution.

"A lot of these kids now, because this city is bankrupt, they are just not getting the opportunities. How do you expect them to excel when they can't get a book they need for class, let alone a computer?" Kenya said.

"I think right now it's a dire situation for Detroit. I wish I could give more of my money to DPS. Clearly, $20,000 is not going to solve the problem, (but) hopefully it will help," she added.
