"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Vanderpump is said to be forming an alliance with new addition Lisa Rinna in season 5.
On Wednesday, the restaurateur received a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Fame and Rinna was the only cast member present as Bravo TV cameras rolled.
Last season Vanderpump was targeted by her co-stars and as a result viewers saw her constantly in tears. She is said to be bonding with Rinna, who recently signed on for season 5, but the status of her friendships with her remaining co-stars remains unclear.
"Lisa Vanderpump is going out of her way to make sure that she can count on Lisa Rinna this season," a source told RadarOnline.com. "Last year, Lisa V. was left out in the cold as all of the ladies turned on her."
Rinna is the wife of actor Harry Hamlin and the couple has been married for 17 years. They share two children together, Delilah Belle and Amelia Gray.
"Both of them have been social acquaintances for years, but Vanderpump is truly going the extra mile to welcome Lisa R. to the show," the source revealed.
Vanderpump's co-stars Brandi Glanville, Yolanda Foster and sisters Kim and Kyle Richards have all been confirmed for season 5. Season 4 additions Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia are not returning.
Also confirmed for the upcoming season are "Housewives" alums Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer.
"It's going to be a very exciting season, and there have already been some fireworks!" the insider said. "There will be tons of drama that will leave viewers wanting more."
Last month insiders claimed Glanville had been clashing with Rinna due to jealousy issues.
"Lisa is getting along with many of the ladies, with the exception of Brandi and Yolanda Foster," a source said. "Brandi's problem with Lisa is that she is happily married, and has two beautiful daughters. According to Brandi, Lisa has the perfect life, and she is very jealous of that."
