Anastasiya Shpagina has transformed herself into an anime lover's dream by becoming a real life anime girl.
A 19-year-old Ukrainian woman devoted hours to altering her appearance in a way that would resemble a character that just stepped out of a Japanese manga comic. The result? Seemingly successful, although questionable to her health.
At 5'2, Shpagina weighs only 85 pounds. She spends over a half hour a day applying makeup to her eyes, according to one online report, in order to shape them in a doe-like resemblance to a Japanese comic character. She has even adopted the Japanese name, Fukkacumi.
Shpagina is not the first to attempt dress like a doll. Valeria Lukyanova has also dedicated her life to a similar pursuit by dedicating much of her time to looking like a real life Barbie doll. Barbie has been a controversial figure throughout history due to her unrealistic body proportions, which sends an unhealthy message to you girls.
Some of Shpagina's latest photos on Facebook reveal her long red hair that extends past her back and a Sailor Moon-like schoolgirl costume. She also has pictures alongside Lukyanova. Both girls have YouTube tutorials that get thousands of hits, teaching other girls how to apply makeup in order to look like a doll.
A picture of Shpagina's mom is posted, which reveals what the real-life anime doll may look like without all of her makeup.
While the girls have collected many fans who say they are extremely beautiful, the concept is still very controversial to most. The average weight for a girl of 5'2 is anywhere from 108-121, suggesting that such a look is also extremely unhealthy.
