Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund takes place Wednesday in one of the biggest matches in the Champions League this week. This match pits the Spanish champions against the Germany champions in what is sure to be an intriguing and explosive contest. The game starts at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (details below).

Real Madrid come into this tie with two wins out of two matches in the Champions League so far. They managed to scrape by English champions Manchester City at home 3-2, as well as defeating Ajax 4-1 away from home.

Meanwhile Borussia Dortmund are second in the group with a win and a draw so far from their two games. They managed to defeat Ajax at home 1-0 as well as draw with Manchester City in England 1-1.

This is probably the most exciting group in the Champions League - with four national champions from four of the biggest footballing nations being drawn together; Real Madrid as Spanish champions, Manchester City as English Premier League champs, Ajax as Dutch winners, and Borussia Dortmund as German Bundesliga winners.

Today's match between Real and Dortmund will see players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Mesut Özil, Xabi Alonso and Iker Casillas play against Robert Lewandowski, Marco Reus, and Mario Götze.

Both of these teams are not firing on all cylinders in their domestic leagues at the moment, however, both have so far stepped up when they've needed to in the Champions League.

For Madrid Marcelo, Alvaro Arbeloa and Fabio Coentrao are all out injured and they will have to make some defensive adjustments to be able to cope with the German champion's sweeping attacks.

Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund is set to kick off at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream by clicking here.
