'Red Dead Redemption 2' News: On the New Trailer, Arthur Morgan, and the Storyline

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is one of the highly anticipated titles in the gaming community. Although it has become common knowledge that Rockstar Games is developing it, the behind the sequel of the series has notably remained silent in the past few months. Recent reports have revealed that Rockstar has finally delivered on their promise to share new details by releasing a new and proper trailer for "Red Dead Redemption."

The trailer gave away several details about the gameplay and storyline to expect from the much-loved western video game. For one, gamers will take on the role of Arthur Morgan, who is part of the Van Der Linde gang.

The storyline reveals that Arthur and his band of friends campaign through America to rob, fight, and steal for the sake of survival. Furthermore, the trailer showed some new weapons, which includes a bow and arrow and dual guns.

Reports speculate that "Red Dead Redemption 2" may be more of a prequel than a sequel. Considering that the first installment of the series was known for the technology and the cars, "Red Dead Redemption 2" features horseback transportation and tropes that can only be described as history. Meanwhile, Dutch Van Der Linde is making a comeback as he stands as the leader of the gang.

Although there may not be a lot of things to know about "Red Dead Redemption 2," fans are expecting developer Rockstar to share some details in the coming months. Unfortunately, as exciting as the trailer may have been, it did not reveal a release date.

For now, fans will have to be satisfied with the knowledge that "Red Dead Redemption" is scheduled to be released sometime next year. To tide over the uncertain duration of time that will be spent waiting, fans can go ahead and get a general feel of the upcoming game through the first "Red Dead Redemption."
