Relient K will be releasing their seventh album, Collapsible Lung through Mono vs. Stereo on July 2.

It has been four years since their last full length studio album, and fans can pre-order the next on iTunes for $7.99, which includes the track, "That's My Jam."

Physical copies and special edition vinyls will be available at the band's concerts this summer.

Collapsible Lung is written from the band's own experiences, and for the first time ever the band is including outside co-writers for the new material.

The song writers include Fernando Garibay (Lady Gaga), Ari Levine (Cee Lo Green, Bruno Mars), Evan Bogart (Beyonce, Rihanna) and Tim Pagnotta (lead singer/writer for Sugarcult).

Producing the album are Paul Moak (Mat Kearney, Lovedrug, Seabird) and Aaron Sprinkle (OneRepublic, Anberlin, The Almost).

"This time around, we wanted to have a collection of songs that surprised even us," said frontman Matt Thiessen through MergPR. "To do that, we teamed up with several other writers in LA, Nashville, and New York City. This ensured that the new LP would be unpredictable. Each song includes a different combination of authors, yet there is an underlying thread that ties the tunes together thematically. We took an experimental approach creating the album, and we couldn't be more pleased with the result."

Relient K will be touring with The Almost and The Rocketboys.

The band's last EP, K Is for Karaoke, was released in 2011 and has an eclectic mix of songs throughout. It features a few hits from the 80s, a few from the 90s, and two or three from the last decade.

Some of the more notable covers on the album are "Baby" by teen idol Justin Bieber, "Girls Just Want to Have fun" by Cyndi Lauper, "You're the Inspiration" by Chicago and "Crazy" by Gnarls Barkley.

Relient K formed in Canton, Ohio, in 1998 with high school friends Matt Thiessen, Brian Pittman, and Matt Hoopes and the band has not slowed down since.

Naming the band Relient K after Hoopes' Reliant K car, they were soon discovered by Christian music superstar Toby Mac who signed them to his label, Gotee Records in 2000.
