'Resident Evil 0' pre-order freebies update: Digital download includes exclusive costumes for Rebecca and Billy, new mode, and alternate control system

"Resident Evil 0" is now available for pre-order. Those who pre-order the game will also receive some exclusive freebies.

In a post at its official blog, Capcom announced that the game is now available as a digital download from PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. "Resident Evil 0" will also come to the Xbox 360 but pre-order is not available.

In addition to the fully remastered game's improved HD graphics and enhanced sound effects, the digital version of the game contains a couple of other features. These include an alternate modern control system and the new Wesker Mode. In this mode, gamers will play as the infamous series villain, the power-hungry Albert Wesker, and face the challenges in the mansion.

All pre-orders will also include exclusive costumes for Billy and Rebecca. The costume pack includes a Wolf Force mercenary costume for Billy. Rebecca, on the other hand, will get two costumes: one is a Capcom cheerleader outfit she wore in "Resident Evil: Deadly Silence" and the other is a "Shadow of Fear" t-shirt.

The game is available for $19.99. "Resident Evil 0" can also be purchased as part of "Resident Evil Origins Collection" along with "Resident Evil HD." This special edition is exclusive for the PS4 and Xbox One. It costs $39.99 and will be available in the U.S. on Jan. 19 and in Europe on Jan. 22.

Here's the game's official description:
"Resident Evil 0 reveals the truth behind the Mansion Incident, the catalyst for the entire storyline of the Resident Evil series. This remastered version takes the story and gameplay of the original and adds stunning HD graphics, 5.1 channel surround sound, optional modernised controls and widescreen TV compatibility. Get ready to discover the terrible secrets lurking in the origins of evil."
