'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Star Brandi Glanville Gets 'Drunken BFF' Marriage, Plans Annullment

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville married her longtime best friend in Las Vegas over the weekend, but confirmed that the marriage will be annulled.

The 38-year-old mother of two took to Twitter to announce her spontaneous marriage plans to Darin Harvey, which critics have blamed on a boozy New Year’s Eve weekend.

"Getting married @darinharvey !!!...My new husband is @darinharvey he is a great guy he manages MMA fighters his star is @RondaRoussey the best female MMA fighter on the planet," Glanville tweeted.

Glanville, who is divorced from soap actor Eddie Cibriani, received widespread criticism for what critics claim was a casual approach to what should be a scared union.

While Harvey brushed off the criticism by calling the quickie marriage a "drunken BFF thing" on Twitter, Glanville tried to better explain their actions on Jan. 2.

"We got carried away by getting married!...I didn't realize what we did wuld [sic] affect others so seriously! In my head I was just having fun w/ my best friend who I adore & has been there for me during all my tuff [sic] times!" Glanville tweeted.

"It[']s not legal! We were just having fun!...It was just a ceremony people! Not legal no paperwork was done!" she added.

Some fans of Glanville, who is a former model, were surprised by her more carefree approach to marriage.

After marrying Cibriani in 2001 and having two sons with together, Glanville was allegedly left heartbroken after 38-year-old Cibriani left his wife after 10 years of marriage for country music singer LeAnn Rimes.

Rimes, who was also married when she met Cibriani in 2009, received widespread criticism after admitting to having had an affair.

"I’m sure some people are thinking that I was totally selfish, but the truth is, there are times in your life when you have to be selfish in order to find out what truly makes you happy," Rimes once told Shape magazine.

Glanville has insisted that she is moving on with her life following her ex-husband's affair, and asked fans to refrain from mentioning Cibriani and Rimes when tweeting her.

“Happy New Year tweeters! New year means new twitter!!...No more EC or LR on my timeline!" she tweeted shortly after her wedding news.

Glanville and Harvey are preparing to get their marriage annulled.
