'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Episode 2: New Episodes Airing This Summer

After the surprise April fool's day premiere of "Rick and Morty" season 3, fans cannot help but wonder when they are getting episode 2. They might not like the answer though.

New episodes are not coming until summer. This is revealed on an announcement trailer posted on the official Facebook page of Adult Swim.

The premiere was just to give fans a taste of "Rick and Morty" season 3, which they have been waiting to see for quite a while now. This means that the rest of the new season could air as early as June, but the wait could be as far as August.

Although "Rick and Morty" season 3 is still potentially a couple of months away, fans at least have an idea on when to expect Rick and Morty to come back for good.

After all, the folks behind the series as well as Adult Swim were all silent as to when the show's small screen return will take place after it was made clear that it won't make the target 2016 premiere.

Although Adult Swim is making fans wait for months to learn what happens next after the premiere, the silver lining is that the season opener was epic and unforgettable enough for many to talk about for a while.

Despite the long wait for the "Rick and Morty" season 3 premiere, Den of Geek believes that the team behind the series delivered and provided fans with everything they expected of the opening installment.

While the premiere seemed like one big April fool's joke, many eagle-eyed fans believe the release actually make sense, taking into account what Mr. Poopybutthole indicated in the previous season.

Viewers will remember that the wait will take a year and a half, which is exactly the duration fans waited to be able to get the first "Rick and Morty" season 3 episode.
