Ricki Lake Loses 20 Pounds: 'Dancing With the Stars' Helping Celebrities Lose Weight

Forget "The Biggest Loser" as the "biggest" weight-loss show – it looks like "Dancing with the Stars" is proving that samba moves are a great way to shed pounds.

Rick Lake has been turning heads and raising eyebrows as the former talk show host announced that she has lost 20 pounds since being on the hit ABC show. But she is not the only one – Nancy Grace has danced off about 10 pounds and Chaz Bono, who was eliminated last night, dropped five pounds.

Rehearsing for several hours a day is sure to make anyone lose weight. Lake says she has also been eating healthier, as well, citing veggie omelets and oatmeal as staples of her diet, according to People magazine. However, she does get temptations.

"My weakness is bread," Lake said. "That is absolutely the hardest thing to give up. Pizza is my favorite."

Lake has been up and down with her weight. Known for being tuby as an actress early in her career, she eventually slimmed down to a petite 140 pounds from her all-time high of 270 pounds. Last year, in a separate interview with People, Lake said, "I can't believe I was a fat person for most of my life."

Grace's 16 lost pounds have been a welcome side effect to learning new dance moves. However, the television personality wanted to remind the public that weight loss should not be all-important.

"This has been a great side effect to dancing, so I'm happy," she told People. "But I just think women should love their bodies like they are."
