'Riverdale' Season 2 Spoilers: Mark Consuelos as Hiram Lodge Revealed

Hiram Lodge has been incarcerated throughout the first season of "Riverdale" yet his presence has been prominent ever since. Next season, he is coming to town.

A sneak peek of Mark Consuelos as Veronica's (Camila Mendes) infamous father has been posted by Entertainment Weekly. In the photo, he is hand in hand with his wife Hermione (Marisol Nichols).

"I like to say he's like Jaws," said Consuelos about his character. "You didn't see him. You knew he was there. There's danger there. His presence is felt."

According to the actor, Hiram loves his family and he will do everything in his power to protect them. He probably loves power as much as he loves his wife and daughter.

Consuelos teased that he, like a typical father, is overprotective about his daughter. He will even try to influence her boyfriend, Archie Andrews (KJ Apa).

"Is he manipulating him or is mentoring him," Consuelos teased. "Is he mentoring him or is seeing what he's made of? You really really don't know, and I think that's the fun part."

Although Hiram's presence resonated throughout the season, little is known about the character. One thing is for sure, he is a force to be reckoned with. He has eyes and ears all over town. Perhaps a little bird might have even told him of Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) and his wife's little affair.

Could he have ordered someone to gun down Fred?

Another fan theory, however, suggests that it was Hermione who hired someone to take out Fred because he knows too much about her business and he has refused to sell to her. It also makes sense now that her husband is coming.

The last time we saw Archie's dad was towards the end of the first season. He was lying down in his own pool of blood on the floor of Pop's Diner.

"Riverdale" returns with its second season on Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
