Rob Lowe and Sheryl Berkoff Married 21 Years, Still Happily in Love?

After a more than 20-year marriage it appears that Rob Lowe and his wife still have a successful, romantic relationship.

Two kids, two disgruntled nannies, and one mischievous chef later, Rob Lowe and his wife of 20 years are still going strong. Lowe and Sheryl Berkoff were married in 1991 after first meeting on a blind date in 1983.

"OK, half blind. We met on a visually impaired date," Lowe said in a previous interview noting that he and his Berkoff were not ready to begin a relationship at the time. The couple went on a few more dates and then didn't see each other again until 1990 when they met on the set of "Bad Influence." Berkoff was his makeup artist.

"I admired her work ethic," Lowe said in a 1999 interview with USA Today. "I admired the way she looks at life."

That admiration was still evident over the weekend after pictures of the actor and his wife making a getaway to Rome surfaced on the Internet. The couple appeared extremely close, take time out during their walks to cuddle and hold hands. In one photo, Lowe had slowed down to pull his wife in for a kiss.

As it is in any marriage, the couple has had their fair share of trouble. In 2008 Lowe accused a former nanny of blackmail after the nanny brought on a lawsuit alleging she had an affair with the actor and accusing him of sexual harassment. He also accused a second nanny of spreading "malicious rumors" and took legal action against a chef who was caught sleeping with another person in his bed.

The cases were settled and the rumors put in the past, however, and Lowe continued on with a regular family life. The actor has two sons with Berkoff, Matthew, 19, and Johnowen, 17. All three men were spotted earlier this year during a ski trip in Colorado.
