Rob Pattinson to Marry Kristen Stewart?

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are reportedly planning to tie the knot less than one week after it was revealed that the pair has rekindled their relationship.

Pattinson, 26, was understandably left devastated after Stewart, 22, admitted to cheating on him with 42-year-old married director Rupert Sanders. The actor has now reportedly proposed marriage as a reconciliation ultimatum two months after the explosive cheating scandal was exposed.

"Rob told Kristen the only way he can forgive her affair is if she truly commits to him. Rob has been keen to marry Kristen for quite a while and he doesn't want to get back with her unless he knows she means it for life too," a source reportedly told The Daily Star.

"He is desperate to make it work and wants to give her another chance but not unless she proves she really wants it too," the alleged insider added.

Stewart, who has dated Pattinson for three years, released a public apology immediately after photos of her tryst with Sanders, a married father of two, were made public by Us Weekly magazine. In it, the "Snow White and The Huntsman" actress professed her love for Pattinson and recent reports suggest that she had begged him to take her back for several weeks after he moved out of their Los Angeles home.

"They pretty much decided they couldn't live without each other. Kristen poured her heart out to Robert and told him it was a one-off and a mistake," a source told The Sun U.K. "Rob sees it as Kristen made a really stupid mistake. After a lot of long tearful talks, they've worked it out. Rob can see how truly sorry Kristen is and has totally forgiven her. They really do love each other."

The actress, who first met Pattinson in 2008 on the set of "Twilight," recently hinted at a reconciliation at the Toronto Film Festival on Sept 8. Stewart was asked whether working with Pattinson would be awkward, as the pair is scheduled to promote the latest "Twilight" saga in coming weeks.

"We're going to be fine," Stewart assured the Associated Press. Pattinson has not yet spoken publicly about the cheating scandal.
