Robert Pattinson Completely Cut Off Kristen Stewart to Help Actress Move On?

Robert Pattinson reportedly cut off all contact with Kristen Stewart after their split out of love, sources claim.

On Monday it was revealed that the "Twilight" stars, who split in May, have not spoken since their emotional August reunion. While Stewart, 23, reportedly wants to maintain contact, Pattinson, 27, reportedly believes that having no contact will assist in making their split less painful, according to HollywoodLife.com.

"It was Rob's decision that the two of them not communicate for a while. Rob felt like it was just too difficult for the two of them to move on if they kept in contact," " an alleged friend of Stewart's told HollywoodLife.com.

"They both want to be able to talk one day, but it's still too soon and there are too many raw emotions from both sides involved," the source explained.

Stewart, who began dating the British actor in 2008, was reportedly left devastated after he abruptly ended their relationship over her 2012 affair with a married man. The source insists that there are currently no hard feelings between the pair.

"Rob was in no way nasty about it," the friend said. "He actually thought he was helping Kristen by setting this boundary of no communication — that it would actually speed up the recovery process."

While the "Maps To The Stars" actor is said to be moving forward with his life, the source claims he will always love Stewart despite their past issues.

"They both continue to have the utmost respect for each other and love for each other. When they were on speaking terms, it would always eventually lead to tears and it was just too painful for both of them," the source revealed.

"At first Kristen was like, 'No, no, I can handle it,' but Rob knows Kristen inside and out and knew that not speaking would in fact be the most loving thing to do for now," the source said.
