"I'm not gonna lie Rob Pattinson's new haircut is looking good, so much better than when he was in twilight," wrote a viewer of the People's Choice Awards viewer and Twitter user Amanda.

On why he changed his look, HollywoodLife.com reported that Pattinson shaved his hair because of his role in a new movie "Cosmopolis."

"All the stuff he had to do for 'Cosmopolis' really messed up his hair," said a source close to Pattinson, according to HollywoodLife.

"It was all over the place and in different lengths," explained the insider. "Then he had to cut it again for re-shoots, and while it sort of grew back for the 'Breaking Dawn' premiere, it was a little off still."

While sporting his new hairstyle, Pattinson took the stage Wednesday night to accept the People's Choice Award for Favorite Drama Movie.

"Whoah, thank you very much," said the actor accepting the award for the movie "Water For Elephants."

"I don't know why they asked me to accept it because it's really a lot of other people as well," continued Pattinson. "When I was doing this movie, I was having so much fun doing it that I was saying to everyone I didn't even care if anyone saw it."

The 38th annual People's Choice Awards saw thousand of Americans voting for their favorite entertainers of today.

While on stage, Pattinson added, "But now that people have seen it and they're giving awards for it, I'm even more thankful for the whole experience, so thank you guys very much."

The British actor is reportedly in a relationship with his "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart. Pattinson became a leading actor after his role as Edward Cullen in the famed vampire series.
