Robert Pattinson was photographed enjoying a night out with friends including Zac Efron.

Pattinson wore a black jacket and matching hat while Efron sported a plaid button-up shirt and a hat. The pair, who reportedly met through Efron's girlfriend Michelle Rodriguez, appeared to be in good spirits and shared a few laughs before making their way to celebrity hot spot Bootsy Bellows.

"Zac was seen goofing around and Rob was not even trying, skipping his turn at one point. When they left some of the friends smoked cigarettes, while they all just laughed and talked," a source told E! News.

"Zac has always really admired Rob and wants to collaborate with him on a project. He has a couple scripts and wants to pick Rob's brain and figure out what they could do together," added the insider.

Pattinson has been enjoying the party scene in recent months, more than one year after ending his five-year relationship with Kristen Stewart.

Earlier this month the British actor was spotted partying with a group of ladies at the 1Oak Fourth of July party at Nobu Malibu.

"Rob was with Ryan Rottman and friends. He was with multiple girls at the party having a blast," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"He stayed through the performances and was mingling with a lot of guests and meeting a lot of different people,"the source said. "Rob was drinking vodka and having a great time!"

In June the notoriously private actor revealed that he still speaks to Stewart, 24, despite their painful split. Insiders claim that while the exes are on good terms there are no plans for a reconciliation.
